Perez's entrance music is Mexicans with Guns - Highway to hell. A fine choice. Jon Horn will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez thows a body kick. Horn tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A low kick from Perez misses
and Horn counters with a big head kick but Perez shrugs it off.
Perez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Perez looks to land a body kick but Horn moved away.
Horn throws a head kick but Perez moves out of range.
Perez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Horn.
Perez tries to clinch but Horn is having none of it.
Perez takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Perez is rocked!
Horn throws a sloppy head kick and Perez moves out of range easily.
Oh Perez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Perez lands a head kick that stumbles Horn and the fighters go to the mat.
Perez seems to have got his legs back now.
It looks like Jon Horn has been cut.
Perez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Horn has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Perez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Perez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jon Horn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Perez throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Perez takes one to the chin there.
Perez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A countering left hand to the body from Horn misses.
Horn blocks the body kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Perez, right into the meat.
Decent striking displayed by Perez there.
Horn is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters circling a little - Perez finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Horn is still on wobbly legs! Can Perez finish him?
Horn looks winded!
Perez misses with a double jab.
Horn seems to have recovered his senses.
Horn moves away from the strike by Perez.
Perez throws a nice outside leg kick.
Nice body kick from Perez.
Horn misses with a head kick.
Perez was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Perez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Perez misses with a straight left.
Perez smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Perez looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Perez backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Horn's temple! It sends Horn violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Perez celebrates and the doctors try to help Horn!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Luis Alberto Perez!
Luis Alberto Perez opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
