And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kribb Furgesson!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furgesson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Furgesson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Furgesson dodges the punch combination from Shamrock.
Furgesson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Shamrock misses with a combination

and Furgesson counters with a takedown into side control.

Furgesson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shamrock has escaped the position, nice work there.
Shamrock is pushing Furgesson's head away, looking to escape. Furgesson manages to hold on to the position though.
Shamrock wants to control but Furgesson postures up.
Shamrock tries to bench press Furgesson off him but Furgesson keeps the position.

Furgesson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Shamrock knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shamrock gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Shamrock knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Furgesson on the ground.

Furgesson is working for a guillotine from mount but Shamrock frees his head quite easily.
Shamrock is wriggling around trying to escape.

Furgesson working for a submission but Shamrock is keeping him at bay.
Shamrock wants to try and get back to his feet.

Furgesson is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Furgesson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Kribb Furgesson!
Kribb Furgesson took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I Want to thank the fans and everyone training out of Kribbson's MMA Garage & Hilo Hit Squad.Im coming for that belt!'.
Chance Shamrock spoke after the fight, saying 'I can't believe I lost to that bum , it might be time to retire'.
