Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Luck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andre Miller!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luck closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Miller did well to prevent Luck getting side control.
Miller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Luck. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Miller is trying to maintain the position but Luck is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller wants to improve his position but Luck is controlling well.
Luck with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller gets full guard.
Miller wants to sweep but no luck.
Miller has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Luck has passed into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Luck in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Miller is not content to let Luck control the position.
Miller is looking for a sweep.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Miller can't do much from the bottom here.
Miller is letting Luck control him for a moment.
Luck advances to mount.
Miller can't escape the position.
Luck tries to control but Miller wriggling away.
Miller can't escape the position.
Miller is squirming around, avoiding Luck's attempts to control the action.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Luck with shots to the head and body - Miller looks very uncomfortable down there.
Miller holds on to Luck around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.
Miller working to try and regain half guard.
Luck lands with some strikes.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Luck cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Miller wants to control but Luck is having none of it.
Luck lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Miller hang on?

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Miller is just holding on here. Luck manages to take his back.
Luck just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Luck is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Luck has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Miller's body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Luck dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Sloppy strikes from Luck. Those never looked like landing.
Miller is looking to clinch but Luck is avoiding it.
Miller closes the distance and clinches up with Luck, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes Luck against the cage but Luck circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Luck tries to clinch up but Miller circles away and keeps his distance.
Miller fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Luck avoids it really well and circles away.
Miller defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Luck.

Luck fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Miller, pushing him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Luck prevents Miller from breaking the clinch.
Miller is looking to control Luck's arms but Luck gets an underhook and turns him. Now Miller has his back to the cage.

Miller breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Luck throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Luck blocks the body kick.
Mark Luck is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Luck avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Luck shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense.
Miller tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Luck defends well and Miller ends up having to push Luck into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Mark Luck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Miller.

Luck has taken the fight to the clinch.

Luck breaks the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Miller enables Luck to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Miller manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Miller controls Luck momentarily but Luck frees himself.
Luck is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Miller can do to turn this around?
Miller is breathing heavily.
Luck throws a big elbow that misses.
Luck postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Luck works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Luck passes the guard and advances to mount!
Miller in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Luck with a couple of short strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Luck takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Luck has isolated one of Miller's arms. Miller looking to fight him off but Luck twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
