Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Joshua Candelaria (ranked 4194 p4p, 475 weight class) and Marcos Martinez (ranked 4970 p4p, 518 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Joshua Candelaria! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 6 losses; Marcos Martinez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Candelaria bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Candelaria (4) vs (0) Martinez
Candelaria is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Martinez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Martinez is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Martinez regains half guard.
Martinez felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Martinez won't allow Candelaria to pass to mount.
Martinez is looking for a sweep. Candelaria is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Candelaria tries to pass the half guard into mount. Martinez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Candelaria is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Martinez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Candelaria pulls his head out easily.
Candelaria seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Martinez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Martinez tries to get to full guard but Candelaria has control of the leg.
Candelaria seems to be looking for submissions.
Martinez has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Candelaria. Oh but Martinez has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Candelaria goes limp - he's gone! Martinez jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
