The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Absame feints and as Myres raises his hands in defense, Absame changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Myres is looking to stand back up but Absame counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Myres.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Myres pushes Absame off looking to stand but Absame dives back in and keeps control.
Absame tries to pass to full mount but Myres defends it.
Absame with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Absame seems to be looking for submissions.
Absame throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Myres tries to kick Absame off but Absame keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Absame trying to control from half guard but Myres is working away.

Absame has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Myres is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Absame yanks on the arm and Myres is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Absame.
