PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Toumanian (ranked 6869 p4p, 527 weight class) and Roland Charlemange (ranked 6517 p4p, 517 weight class). Roland Charlemange told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Roland Charlemange!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charlemange jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Charlemange shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Toumanian's guard.
Toumanian keeping moving, preventing Charlemange from controlling successfully.
Toumanian utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Toumanian trying to control the position.
Charlemange working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Toumanian's head.

Charlemange avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Toumanian has momentary wrist control but Charlemange slips an elbow through the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Charlemange connects with a couple of short punches.
Charlemange stands up over Toumanian, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Toumanian is rocked!

Charlemange arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Toumanian's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
