The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fails with the takedown
letting Lhw counter with a right hand.
Gracie tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Lhw counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Lhw rushes Gracie and presses him up against the cage.
Lhw is leaning against Gracie and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Lhw lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Lhw pushes Gracie back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lhw tightens his grip and picks Gracie up, before dumping him to the ground. Gracie manages to land in guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.

Lhw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gracie landing with the ground and pound.
Gracie passes Lhw's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lhw is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount!
Lhw is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gracie working for a guillotine from mount but Lhw is in no mood to give up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lhw lands a nice shot that snaps Gracie's head back.
