Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Peterson (ranked 3227 p4p, 381 weight class) and James Morrow (ranked 2719 p4p, 330 weight class). Peterson comes to the cage accompanied by Amon Amarth - Guardians of Asgaard. Morrow has chosen Judas Priest - Breaking The Law as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gregory Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Morrow!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrow takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Peterson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Morrow tries to avoid it but Peterson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Morrow to the ground. Morrow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Despite the aggression on Morrow's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Peterson misses with a takedown
and Morrow counters with a stiff right hand.
Peterson goes for a double leg but Morrow avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Morrow continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gregory Peterson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Peterson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Morrow to the mat! Morrow manages to get full guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Morrow manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Peterson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Morrow sees it coming and defends easily.

Morrow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Peterson is looking for a kimura but Morrow is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Peterson to get the leverage.

Morrow has one foot on Peterson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

and Morrow counters with a three punch combo that has Peterson backing up. Peterson nods at Morrow to acknowledge the strikes.

Peterson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Morrow is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

and Morrow counters with a left to the body.

James Morrow is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Morrow stalks Peterson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Peterson's face. Peterson staggers backwards, shaken.
