Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seung Kwan Choi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Brandin Duncan!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choi tries to close the distance and clinch but Duncan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Duncan with the counter takedown but Choi avoids it easily.

and Duncan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Choi wants to control but Duncan is keeping busy.
Choi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Duncan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Duncan's back!

Choi doesn't have the hooks in and Duncan manages to turn into his guard.
Choi is trying to keep Duncan in close.
Choi has momentary wrist control but Duncan slips an elbow through the middle.

Duncan drops back looking for a leg! Choi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Choi manages to kick Duncan off! Duncan jumps back into Choi's guard.

Duncan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Choi wants to stand and escape but Duncan is having none of it.
Duncan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Duncan working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Choi's head.

Duncan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Duncan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Duncan scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Duncan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Choi manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Duncan has Choi in his guard.


Duncan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Choi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Duncan has his foot on Choi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Choi works his way back into a safe position though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've been informed that Duncan has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Duncan is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Choi has his hands clasped together but Duncan extends and breaks Choi's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Duncan.

Brandin Duncan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
