Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacinto Rowe (ranked 23365 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karol Pie (ranked 4838 p4p, 0 weight class). Karol Pie will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pie misses with a low kick.
Rowe tries to counter with a takedown but Pie is quick to defend against it.

Pie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rowe to the mat! Rowe manages to get full guard.
Pie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Pie wants to pass the guard but Rowe is keeping the position.
Rowe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Pie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rowe sneaks out the side door and pushes Pie away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Pie instigates a clinch.

Pie is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rowe is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pie to the mat. Pie regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rowe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rowe takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Well Pie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
