Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darren Dixon (ranked 1606 p4p, 180 weight class) and Biabas Kitjakarn (ranked 23998 p4p, 523 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Biabas Kitjakarn!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kitjakarn has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dixon finds it's way round the side to connect with Kitjakarn's head.

Dixon attempts a counter takedown but Kitjakarn avoids it well and moves away.
Kitjakarn fails to land with a series of punches.

Kitjakarn has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Kitjakarn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dixon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kitjakarn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Biabas Kitjakarn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dixon is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Kitjakarn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dixon manages to avoid it.

Kitjakarn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Dixon has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kitjakarn has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
I really don't envy Kitjakarn right now.

Dixon is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Kitjakarn is tapping out! This one is all over!
