Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Onyema (ranked 5002 p4p, 447 weight class) and Marky Mark (ranked 24998 p4p, 539 weight class). Marky Mark has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Onyema takes the fight into the clinch.
Onyema missing with knees to the body.
Onyema misses with a knee strike.
Onyema lands a body shot in the clinch.
Onyema lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Onyema scores with a nice hook to the head.

It looks like Marky Mark has been cut.
Mark wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mark looking to stall.
Onyema lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mark backwards.
Onyema is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mark is defending well for now.
Mark drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Onyema gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mark ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mark no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Onyema is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Mark has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Onyema can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Onyema knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mark on the ground.

Mark tries to pull guard but Onyema holds him up against the cage and eventually Mark drops back down to his feet.
Elvis Onyema has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marky Mark.

Onyema rushes Mark and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mark drops his hands momentarily and Onyema takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Mark tries to keep at a distance but Onyema has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mark is rocked!

That has opened up Marky Mark's cut even more.
Onyema landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Mark is still on wobbly legs! Can Onyema finish him?
Onyema has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Mark - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Onyema, and another! Mark is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
