Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 42 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trent Punchy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douche Canoe!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punchy takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Punchy throws a lazy right hand but Canoe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Punchy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Canoe is stalling in the full guard.

Punchy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Canoe is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Canoe scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Punchy is looking for a triangle but Canoe pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Canoe might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Canoe drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Punchy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Canoe has Punchy in his guard.

Punchy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Punchy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Canoe drops back looking for a leg! Punchy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Punchy manages to kick Canoe off! Canoe jumps back into Punchy's guard.

A big left from Punchy misses.
Canoe drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Punchy defends it well.
Douche Canoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Canoe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Canoe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Punchy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd cheers as Canoe lands an impressive looking overhand right. Punchy doesn't seem phased though.
Canoe shoots in for a double leg but Punchy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A quick step to the side and Punchy tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Punchy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Canoe moves away.
Canoe tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Canoe closes the distance and clinches up with Punchy, looking for a takedown. Canoe pushes Punchy against the cage but Punchy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Punchy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Canoe.
Canoe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Punchy cracks a nice hook into Canoe's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Trent Punchy will probably get the nod.

Punchy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Canoe manages to avoid it.

Punchy shoots in for a takedown but Canoe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Well Canoe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
