Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Television - Marquee Moon kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Smith misses the target.
Smith lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Takemura throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range.

Smith has taken the fight to the clinch.
Smith lands a hook to the side of the head.
Smith keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Takemura's efforts to push away.
Takemura tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Takemura is trying to break the clinch but Smith is controlling him.
Smith keeps control of Takemura as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Takemura digs a good hook to Smith's body.
Takemura has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Soul Supremacy Rio in the buildup to the fight.
Takemura closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

and Smith makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Takemura takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smith thows a left - swing and a miss!

Smith steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Takemura.
Takemura sets himself, and Smith steps forward looking for the clinch! Takemura avoids it this time.

Smith has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Smith throws the left hand but Takemura avoids the punch easily.
Takemura swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Smith scores with a crisp jab that stopped Takemura in his tracks.

Takemura is rocked!
Takemura walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
