Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Louis Edwards (ranked 3774 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Greenwood (ranked 5337 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greenwood misses with a head kick.
Greenwood tries a head kick but it misses.
Greenwood throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Edwards counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Edwards stops Greenwood from getting back to his feet.
Still in half guard, Edwards seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Edwards has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Greenwood works to full guard.

Edwards postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Greenwood is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Edwards is controlling him.
Edwards is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Edwards fails with an attempt to clinch.
Greenwood listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Greenwood throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Michael Greenwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Greenwood lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Edwards takes one on the button.
Michael Greenwood is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Greenwood tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Greenwood throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Edwards is looking to counter punch.

Edwards instigates a clinch.
Greenwood is trying to break the clinch but Edwards is controlling him.
Edwards tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Greenwood breaks from the clinch.
Edwards tries to close the distance and clinch up but Greenwood swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Greenwood throws the left hand but Edwards avoids the punch easily.
Edwards shoots for a double leg takedown but Greenwood sprawls well. He's pushed Edwards's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Greenwood throws a jab when Edwards was well out of range.
An inside leg kick lands from Greenwood.
Donk. Greenwood catches Edwards right on the button with a cross.

Edwards fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Greenwood sprawls well initially but Edwards persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Edwards postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Greenwood to stand up.
Edwards shoots in for a takedown but Greenwood shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Edwards shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Edwards knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Greenwood on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Greenwood pushes Edwards off and gets back to his feet.
Edwards scores with a three punch combo!
Edwards moves forwards but Greenwood connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Greenwood rushes Edwards with punches - Edwards moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Edwards goes down! Greenwood follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
