Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elias Pukki (ranked 2987 p4p, 371 weight class) and Syd Nelson (ranked 5685 p4p, 537 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pukki has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Nelson connects with an inside leg kick.

Pukki feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Nelson sprawling to the canvas! Nelson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pukki finish him?!

It looks like Syd Nelson has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nelson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pukki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nelson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Nelson is rocked!
Pukki fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Nelson out cold! Brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Elias Pukki!
An out of breath Elias Pukki thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
