Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Austin Smith (ranked 1792 p4p, 223 weight class) and Winchester Blackard (ranked 877 p4p, 115 weight class). Smith comes to the ring accompanied by Due West. Winchester Blackard has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Austin Smith's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Austin Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Winchester Blackard!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Blackard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat.
Smith defending well as Blackard loads up on a big left hand.
Smith attempts a counter takedown but Blackard avoids it well and moves away.
Blackard waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Smith.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Blackard on his heels. He'll look to pass Blackard's guard now, I'm sure.

Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Blackard sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Blackard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smith was well out of range. Poor timing from Blackard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Smith is looking to take a break and control but Blackard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Smith has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Smith is really struggling to control Blackard but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Smith is trying to get an arm triangle but Blackard is defending well.

Winchester Blackard has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Blackard looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Smith pushes past his half guard into mount!
Smith takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Smith is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Blackard is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Blackard flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Smith anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Blackard and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Smith slips an arm under Blackard chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Smith has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Smith is squeezing on Blackard like an anaconda would it's prey. Blackard fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Austin Smith!
Austin Smith made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I beat that monkey down! Yall like that shit?!'.
