The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jennings darts in and clinches Mygueel up against the cage.
Jennings tries to break the clinch but Mygueel is controlling the position.

Mygueel gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Mygueel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jennings controls Mygueel momentarily but Mygueel frees himself.

Mygueel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mygueel drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jennings looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jennings looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jennings!

Jennings is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mygueel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jennings wants to stand but Mygueel is controlling his arm.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mygueel tries to bench press Jennings off him but Jennings keeps the position.
Jennings tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Jennings thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jennings wants to stand but Mygueel is controlling his arm.

Jennings tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mygueel struggling a bit here.
Mygueel is looking for a sweep.
Jennings wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mygueel keeps working.
Mygueel tries to improve position but can't.
Jennings working the ground and pound but Mygueel is defending the strikes.

Jennings tries to stand but Mygueel is controlling his head.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mygueel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mygueel has hold of Jennings's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jennings tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Mygueel cranks the arm and Jennings screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jennings, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

After winning the bout, Marcello Mygueel thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
