Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Robinson (ranked 5858 p4p, 49 weight class) and Rio Silva (ranked 4248 p4p, 32 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rio Silva!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson misses with a head kick.

Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Robinson is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Silva working over Robinson with some ground and pound. Robinson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
My spies in UnderGround Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu inform me that Silva has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Robinson is trying to control but Silva passes into side control!

Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Robinson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Robinson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Silva goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Robinson turns into him and now he's in Silva's guard.

Robinson has momentary wrist control but Silva slips an elbow through the middle.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Silva stays in close to Robinson's body and controls the position.

Robinson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Silva manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Robinson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Silva gets the takedown into side control.
Robinson tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Silva cracks Robinson with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Robinson from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Luke Robinson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Silva has the hooks in. Robinson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Silva is looking to control Robinson but Robinson is wriggling around and keeping busy.
