Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arron Lyons (ranked 4529 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Johnson (ranked 2938 p4p, 283 weight class). Johnson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. suge kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Anthony Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyons displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johnson.
It looked like Lyons wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Lyons could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Lyons's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Arron Lyons will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Johnson is looking to clinch but Lyons is avoiding it.
Lyons rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Johnson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
It looks like Arron Lyons has been cut.
Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Lyons tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lyons manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Oh but Lyons is tightening it up a little... Johnson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Johnson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Johnson taps out! Nice BJJ there by Lyons!
