The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Delacruz is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Hunter presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Hunter gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Delacruz regains guard.
Hunter should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Hunter wants to stand and escape but Delacruz is having none of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hunter is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Delacruz still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Delacruz has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
