Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Malicious Singcoli (ranked 4259 p4p, 429 weight class) and Dan Maia (ranked 2565 p4p, 303 weight class). Dan Maia struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Malicious Singcoli is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia shoots in for a double leg but Singcoli sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A quick step to the side and Singcoli tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Singcoli connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Malicious Singcoli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Maia.

Singcoli is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maia working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Singcoli doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Singcoli manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Singcoli is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Maia defends it well.

Singcoli knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maia on the ground.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Singcoli counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Maia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Singcoli tries to avoid it but Maia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Singcoli to the ground. Singcoli escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Malicious Singcoli tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
