The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ewing checks a leg kick.
Ewing jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Goldberg throws a head kick that misses.
Ewing tries to counter with a takedown but Goldberg is quick to defend against it.

Goldberg closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ewing quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
