The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Karpo as he avoids it easily.
It looked like Karpo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Pierre fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Hannu Karpo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wilky Pierre.

and Karpo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pierre thinking.

As Pierre looks to move away, Karpo throws a big counter combo but Pierre just gets out of the way.

Pierre darts in looking for a takedown but Karpo gets double underhooks and turns Pierre into the ropes.

Karpo cracks Pierre on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Pierre falls backwards against the ropes. Karpo follows up with more strikes that drop Pierre to his knees. Karpo keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Pierre! This one is all over!

Hannu Karpo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
