Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
29 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Solomon Kahn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
26 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Geordie Power!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power cracks Kahn with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Power sizes up Kahn with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kahn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kahn has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Power finds it's way round the side to connect with Kahn's head.
Power throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kahn counters with a nice leg kick.
Kahn checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Power misses with a left hand
and Kahn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kahn throws a body punch but Power moves out of range.

and Kahn counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Geordie Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Power fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kahn has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Power rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Kahn counter with a right hand.

It looked like Kahn wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Power uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kahn.
Power lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kahn's sensitive parts.
Power throws an overhand right that lands on Kahn's shoulder, as Kahn tries to avoid the shot.
The fighters circling - Power throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Solomon Kahn will probably get the nod.

Power scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kahn in his tracks.
Power throws a series of punches but Kahn avoids them all with ease.
Power misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Geordie Power seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Power tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kahn paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kahn gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Power.

and Kahn counters with a low kick, right behind Power 's knee.
Power clinches up with Kahn and pushes him back against the cage.

Power has a couple of punches blocked by Kahn.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kahn lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Kahn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kahn drops Power with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Power looks back up at him and smiles so Kahn waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
A combination from Kahn does no damage.
Kahn motions for Power to come forward. Kahn throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kahn stuns Power with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kahn cracks Power with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Power looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kahn finish him?
Power is rocked!
Kahn fakes the body blow, causing Power to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Power goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Solomon Kahn!
Solomon Kahn decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
