Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Larraza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gap Turner!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larraza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Larraza cracks Turner with a good jab.
Larraza on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Turner cracks a nice hook into Larraza's ribs.
Larraza cracks Turner with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
No luck for Larraza with that takedown attempt.
Turner scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Larraza shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Turner pinned against the cage. Turner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Larraza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That's time! Larraza's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Larraza throws an off balance right hand
and Turner counters with a nice uppercut.
Turner lands a jab to Larraza's midsection.

Larraza tries to close the distance and clinch but Turner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Larraza misses with a body kick.
Larraza is looking to clinch but Turner is avoiding it.
Larraza tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Turner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Turner doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Larraza tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Turner swivels and escapes.

Turner thows a body kick. Larraza tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Turner throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Larraza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Larraza doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Turner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oscar Larraza. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Turner slips a straight right by Larraza.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We've been told by Larraza's head coaches at Doom's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Turner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Turner lands a hook that stumbles Larraza back into the cage. Turner follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Larraza to the canvas! Turner pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Larraza has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
