Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dro Qanar (ranked 3419 p4p, 396 weight class) and Joao Andrade (ranked 3829 p4p, 434 weight class). Joao Andrade acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joao Andrade!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Qanar misses with a hook
and Andrade counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Qanar looks to score with a jab to the body but Andrade is just out of range.
Qanar defending well as Andrade loads up on a big left hand.
Andrade throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Qanar sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Andrade throws out a loose jab but Qanar uses good head movement to avoid it.
Qanar seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Andrade lands a right hook to the body.
Qanar steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Andrade.
Andrade wants to slow Qanar down by chopping away at his legs.
Qanar is looking to counter punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Andrade's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Qanar misses with a hook. Andrade ducked under it nicely.
Andrade cracks Qanar with an open hand slap.

It looks like Dro Qanar has been cut.
Qanar uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Andrade throws a jab but it's blocked by Qanar.
Andrade looks to land a left hand but Qanar moved out of range nicely.
Dro Qanar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Andrade lets loose with a powerful body kick. Qanar will feel that in the morning.
Qanar on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Qanar rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Andrade counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Andrade throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Qanar definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Andrade lands a left and a right that send Qanar crashing to the mat, dazed. Andrade thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Qanar is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Qanar walks straight into a right hand from Andrade - that's dropped him! Andrade jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Qanar from any more punishment! Qanar complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

In his post fight interview, Joao Andrade started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
