Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Meyer (ranked 3333 p4p, 307 weight class) and Michael MP (ranked 3679 p4p, 335 weight class). MP has chosen Whitesnake - Is This Love? as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from MP.
MP shoots in for a double leg but Meyer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
MP jabs Meyer to the body, keeping him at a distance.
MP throws a right and a left that both miss.
Meyer lands a head shot.

It looks like Michael MP has been cut.

MP feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MP stands up over Meyer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
MP throws a big right hand that misses.
Meyer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Meyer tries to get out of the position.

MP is working Meyer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Meyer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as MP controls the pace.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw MP working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Michael MP decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
