Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Preston Mason (ranked 810 p4p, 43 weight class) and Brandon Kay (ranked 2595 p4p, 142 weight class). Brandon Kay has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Preston Mason's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Preston Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Kay!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mason feints and as Kay raises his hands in defense, Mason changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mason stands up over Kay, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mason cracks Kay with a solid left hand.
Mason has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mason drops back looking for a leg! Kay is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kay manages to kick Mason off! Mason jumps back into Kay's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kay is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mason dives into side control.

Kay shoots for a takedown but Mason saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mason misses with a takedown attempt - Kay sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kay tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Brandon Kay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mason shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kay pinned against the cage. Kay gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kay drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mason defends it well.
