Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aoki Aoki (ranked 2646 p4p, 323 weight class) and Cliff Rigano (ranked 5699 p4p, 513 weight class). Aoki comes to the ring accompanied by Baka Survivor. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki throws a head kick that misses.
Rigano closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rigano is trying to get an arm triangle but Aoki is defending well.
Aoki wants to control but Rigano postures up.
Rigano wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Aoki, who protects the arm well.

Aoki's corner calls for a 1-2. Aoki obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Rigano shoots in for a double leg but Aoki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Aoki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rigano is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Aoki with a body shot.
Aoki darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Aoki passes the guard and advances to mount!

Aoki is landing with some decent strikes but Rigano is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Aoki is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rigano can do to turn this around?

Aoki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rigano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aoki has managed to get both his arms back between Rigano's legs - danger averted.
Rigano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aoki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Aoki scores with a decent looking hook.
Aoki displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rigano.
Rigano moves out of range of the body kick from Aoki.
Rigano shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Aoki counters with a left to the body.
Aoki catches Rigano with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Rigano tries to work over Aoki's front leg with a kick but Aoki checks it.
Aoki was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Aoki gets the takedown into side control.
Aoki lands a decent elbow from side control.
Aoki trying to control the position but Rigano is working away.
Aoki lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rigano is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Aoki off and has taken his back!
Aoki is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Rigano gets his way!
Cliff Rigano has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well Aoki has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
