Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chosu McGrady (ranked 2314 p4p, 239 weight class) and Vasilios Megalos (ranked 2057 p4p, 216 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGrady shoots for a takedown but Megalos saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

McGrady darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Vasilios Megalos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
McGrady is trying to control the action in half guard but Megalos is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Megalos wants to get back to his feet.
Megalos is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Megalos is staying active underneath McGrady, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGrady throws an elbow that misses. Megalos uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McGrady's guard. Nice move by Megalos!

McGrady looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Megalos has picked McGrady up and slammed him! McGrady can't keep hold of the triangle and Megalos manages to pass to side control!

I've been told that Megalos has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Megalos manages to work his way to half guard, despite McGrady's best efforts.
McGrady looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Megalos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
McGrady is pressing down on Megalos's thigh, looking to free his foot. Megalos is holding on for now.

McGrady goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Megalos is on top in guard.

McGrady is trying to maintain the position but Megalos is very close to passing his half guard.

Vasilios Megalos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Megalos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Megalos connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Well,McGrady is on his way to losing a decision here. Can he use his experience to pull something off in the closing minutes?

and McGrady counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
McGrady wants to control from the top but Megalos keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGrady throws a strike but Megalos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

McGrady is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
McGrady wants to control the position but Megalos says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

McGrady is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Megalos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Megalos's back!

Well Megalos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
