Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marty Snoozeman (ranked 24355 p4p, 647 weight class) and Kevin Ratcliffe (ranked 7288 p4p, 609 weight class). Snoozeman comes into the arena with Nebraska - Bruce Springsteen blaring out of the sound system. Kevin Ratcliffe will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ratcliffe has Snoozeman up against the cage in a clinch.
Snoozeman changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ratcliffe fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Ratcliffe gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Snoozeman to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Snoozeman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Ratcliffe trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Snoozeman slips nicely into half guard.
Snoozeman winds up and cracks Ratcliffe with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Snoozeman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Ratcliffe is trying to maintain the position but Snoozeman is very close to passing his half guard.

Snoozeman wants to work for an arm triangle but Ratcliffe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Snoozeman winds up and cracks Ratcliffe with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ratcliffe manages to get to full guard.
Snoozeman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Ratcliffe working for submissions but it's allowed Snoozeman to get to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Snoozeman in particular looking to stall.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ratcliffe can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ratcliffe trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Snoozeman manages to pass to mount!
Ratcliffe is bucking up trying to escape but Snoozeman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Ratcliffe wants to hold on but Snoozeman pushes him away.

Snoozeman looking to isolate an arm here. Ratcliffe doesn't see it coming and as Snoozeman extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Snoozeman!
