The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makarev shoots in and drives through. Jansen sprawls well.
Makarev connects with a high kick.

Makarev drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jansen sprawls and moves away.
Makarev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jansen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Makarev connects with a body shot that sends Jansen's belly button to the back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Makarev uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jansen has time to react.

Jansen drops back looking for a leg! Makarev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Makarev manages to kick Jansen off! Jansen jumps back into Makarev's guard.

Jansen loads up on a big left hand. Makarev felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Jansen looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Makarev can't hide his disappointment, as Jansen celebrates the victory.
