PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doko Dokov (ranked 3717 p4p, 426 weight class) and Scott Stiles (ranked 5550 p4p, 528 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Doko Dokov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scott Stiles!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Francis DeMontford.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dokov moves into the clinch successfully.
Dokov looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Dokov breaks the clinch.
Stiles throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Dokov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Stiles quickly recovers to half guard.
Stiles regains full guard. Nicely done.
Stiles is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dokov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stiles on the ground.

Stiles is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dokov is just riding it out for now. Stiles eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Stiles parries the strikes from Dokov easily there. Dokov is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Stiles to escape.

It looks like Scott Stiles has been cut.
Doko Dokov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Stiles closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Dokov closes the distance and clinches.
Stiles is working for takedown but Dokov is calmly controlling the position for now.

Dokov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stiles is aware though and is defending well.

Dokov throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Stiles changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dokov tries to avoid it but Stiles manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dokov to the ground. Dokov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dokov batters Stiles with a massive right followed by a huge left! Stiles is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Dokov lands a final crushing right hand to drop Stiles to the mat with a gruesome thud! Dokov is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
