Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Barbados (ranked 2175 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tourney Fighter (ranked 6598 p4p, 0 weight class). Barbados comes to the cage accompanied by What's It All For. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Aldo Barbados!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 17 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Tourney Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter cracks Barbados with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Fighter slips a jab and a cross from Barbados.
Barbados with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fighter to score with a decent uppercut.
Barbados just misses with a punch to the body.
Barbados on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Fighter lands a leg kick that knocks Barbados off balance momentarily.
Fighter's corner calls for a 1-2. Fighter obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Barbados tries to keep at a distance but Fighter has taken the fight into the clinch.
Barbados blocks a body shot from Fighter.
Nice body punch from Fighter.
Barbados is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
A short right from Fighter on the inside.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barbados working hard to break the clinch.
Fighter lands a left hand that snaps the head of Barbados backwards.
Barbados wants to break free but Fighter has control.

Fighter misses with an uppercut
and Barbados makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Fighter lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Barbados at a distance.
Fighter connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Barbados's hands.
Fighter lands a high kick!
Fighter jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Fighter has closed the distance and engaged Barbados in a clinch.
Fighter scores with a shot to the side of Barbados's head.
Fighter lands an elbow that stopped Barbados in his tracks for a moment.
Fighter throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Barbadoss head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fighter lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Barbados working hard to break the clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Fighter.
Fighter looking to throw knees to the head but Barbados is blocking nicely.
Fighter misses with a hook from the clinch.
Fighter has Barbados pressed against the cage, preventing Barbados from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Fighter.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Fighter.
Fighter lands a left hand.
Fighter doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Fighter lands a right hand that snaps the head of Barbados backwards.
A knee to the head by Fighter.

Barbados breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fighter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fighter looks to land a left hand but Barbados moved out of range nicely.
Barbados was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Tourney Fighter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fighter throws a shot from downtown. Barbados moves away and avoids it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Fighter.
The fighters circling - Fighter throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fighter lands with a straight right. Barbados didn't see that one coming.
Fighter misses the jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barbados keeps Fighter at a distance using the push kick.
Fighter feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Barbados's calf.
Fighter misses with a lunging right hand
and Barbados counters with a low kick, right behind Fighter 's knee.
Fighter sizes up Barbados with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Barbados lands with a slapping head kick.
Fighter misses with a looping left.
Barbados is looking to counter with head kicks.

Fighter moves into the clinch.
Fighter has a couple of punches blocked by Barbados.
Fighter scores a nice knee to the body.
Fighter has Barbados pressed against the cage, preventing Barbados from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Fighter lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Fighter throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Barbados blocks it with crossed arms.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Barbados is trying to break free.
Fighter lands a knee to the body.
Fighter lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Barbados blocks a body shot from Fighter.
Fighter is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Barbados is defending well for now.
Fighter keeps control of Barbados as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A left hand lands to the body for Fighter.
Fighter comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Knees in the clinch landing for Fighter.
Fighter creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Barbados's defenses.
Fighter misses with a short punch on the inside.
Barbados wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fighter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Barbados's efforts to push away.
Fighter tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Fighter drops Barbados with a big knee straight up the middle! Barbados is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Barbados is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tourney Fighter dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Fighter avoids the head kick by Barbados.


It looks like Aldo Barbados has been cut.
A punch combination from Barbados misses.
Barbados circles away from the clinch attempt.
It looked like Barbados was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Fighter.
Barbados tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Barbados tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fighter feints and then cracks Barbados's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Barbados down.
Fighter throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Barbados.
Fighter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Barbados tries to bum rush Fighter with a series of wild strikes but Fighter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fighter looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barbados slips a straight right by Fighter.
A swing and a miss from Fighter.
Fighter throws out a powerful jab.
Fighter scores with a decent looking hook.
Oh Barbados is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fighter throws a series of punches but Barbados avoids them all with ease.
Barbados throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fighter looks to throw the jab but Barbados is out of range.
Barbados seems to have got his legs back now.
Barbados swings away with a body shot that misses
and Fighter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tourney Fighter seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Barbados swings for the body but Fighter moves out of range.
Aldo Barbados is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fighter showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Barbados.
Barbados falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fighter counters with a big head kick but Barbados shrugs it off.
Fighter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Barbados throws a sloppy body shot
and Fighter counters with a crisp right that sends Barbados to the canvas! Fighter follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tourney Fighter!
An out of breath Tourney Fighter thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
