Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Anders (ranked 5655 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald O Rourke (ranked 4918 p4p, 0 weight class). Donald O Rourke told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donald O Rourke!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anders moves into the clinch successfully.
O Rourke drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anders looking to pass the guard.
Anders postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
O Rourke utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Anders with a flurry of punches that miss.
O Rourke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anders doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anders manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Anders has gone for a leg lock! O Rourke slips out almost immediately though and dives into Anders's guard.
O Rourke wants to stand but Anders has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
O Rourke trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Anders manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. O Rourke manages to get himself to full guard.
Anders works over O Rourke with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
O Rourke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anders can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Anders is looking to work some ground and pound but O Rourke has wrist control.
Anders has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Anders drops back looking for a leg! O Rourke is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and O Rourke manages to kick Anders off! Anders jumps back into O Rourke's guard.

Anders controls from within his opponent's guard.
Anders trying to control the position from guard on top but O Rourke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Anders is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because O Rourke is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Anders looking to pass the guard.
Anders looking to improve position, pressing down on O Rourke's thigh with his hand. O Rourke seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Anders paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Anders's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! O Rourke picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
