PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Umberto Reem (ranked 1215 p4p, 149 weight class) and Tony O Rangers (ranked 2768 p4p, 277 weight class). Reem comes to the ring accompanied by Bad Reputation. O Rangers is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Helicopter- Bloc Party. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reem feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits O Rangerss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
O Rangers shoots for a double leg takedown but Reem sprawls well. He's pushed O Rangers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Reem forces O Rangers back against the ropes and clinches.
O Rangers is working for takedown but Reem is calmly controlling the position for now.

O Rangers wants the takedown. Reem is fighting it off but O Rangers persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Reem's guard against the ropes.
O Rangers wants to pass the guard but Reem is keeping the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

O Rangers tries to free his leg and advance position but Reem is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reem bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in O Rangers's guard.

Reem scores with a nice right hand.
Reem connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
O Rangers misses with a head kick.
Tony O Rangers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Reem looks to score with a jab to the body but O Rangers is just out of range.
O Rangers with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Reem to score with a decent uppercut.
Reem lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Reem throws the left hand but O Rangers avoids the punch easily.
O Rangers takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Reem closes the distance and pushes O Rangers back into the ropes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Reem lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of O Rangers backwards.

O Rangers darts in looking for a takedown but Reem gets double underhooks and turns O Rangers into the ropes.
O Rangers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reem pinned against the ropes. Reem gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Reem lands with a straight right. O Rangers didn't see that one coming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A nice leg kick lands there from Reem.
O Rangers shoots and misses
and Reem connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
O Rangers takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Reem fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops O Rangers to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! O Rangers looks to clinch but Reem throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! O Rangers taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Umberto Reem decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
