Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Ryu Takemura (ranked 4940 p4p, 448 weight class) and Bastien Giroud (ranked 7199 p4p, 537 weight class). Giroud comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Khaled- Aisha kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ryu Takemura could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bastien Giroud's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Takemura counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Takemura tries to keep at a distance but Giroud has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Giroud tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takemura swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Takemura jabs Giroud to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Takemura gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Takemura seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Giroud breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Takemura with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Takemura looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Takemura get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? No, he's flopped back to the mat - he's out - this one is all over!
