Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Rousey (ranked 2034 p4p, 228 weight class) and Umberto Turturro (ranked 1512 p4p, 191 weight class). Rousey comes to the ring accompanied by Here comes Da Boom -by P.O.D. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turturro tries for a takedown but Rousey sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Turturro has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rousey finds it's way round the side to connect with Turturro's head.


It looks like Umberto Turturro has been cut.

and Turturro counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Rousey!

Turturro is looking to cinch up a triangle. Rousey throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Turturro's body to avoid the submission. Turturro has instead reached around Rousey's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Turturro arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Umberto Turturro!
A less than humble Umberto Turturro misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
