The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Targa shoots in for a takedown but Rogers shows good takedown defense.
An attempted straight right counter from Rogers misses the target.

Targa drives through with a takedown into Rogers's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Rogers wants to stand up but Targa is controlling him.
Targa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Rogers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Targa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Targa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Targa shoots in but no luck this time.
Donk. Rogers catches Targa right on the button with a cross.
Rogers pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Targa back to the cage. Rogers follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Rogers lands a nice hook to Targa's body. Targa takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Buck Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rogers stuns Targa with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Rogers scores with a jab. Targa acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
