The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronaldo shoots for a double leg takedown but Killinger sprawls well. He's pushed Ronaldo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Killinger displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ronaldo.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pele Ronaldo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ronaldo darts in looking for a takedown but Killinger gets double underhooks and turns Ronaldo into the cage.
Killinger ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ronaldo moves away.
Killinger fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ronaldo manages to avoid it.
A left lands for Killinger.
A big left from Killinger misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ronaldo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Killinger's waist but Killinger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ronaldo off to one side.
Killinger lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Ronaldo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Killinger to score with a decent uppercut.
Ronaldo dives in and grabs Killinger's left leg, looking for a takedown. Killinger pushes down on Ronaldo's head and hops out.

Ronaldo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Killinger turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Ronaldo shoots in for a takedown but Killinger shows good takedown defense.
A punch lands to the side of Ronaldo 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ronaldo or perhaps it was just good defense by Killinger, which made it look bad.
Killinger closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Ronaldo! Killinger dives in looking to finish! Ronaldo is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

In his post fight interview, Buster Killinger started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
