Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ace Rob (ranked 929 p4p, 112 weight class) and Alejandro Sepulveda (ranked 971 p4p, 116 weight class). Sepulveda has chosen Lady Gaga - Alejandro as his entrance music. Alejandro Sepulveda has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ace Rob's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ace Rob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 21 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alejandro Sepulveda!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sepulveda pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rob tries to counter with a takedown but Sepulveda is quick to defend against it.
Sepulveda is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rob.
Sepulveda swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sepulveda tries to land a front kick but Rob steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sepulveda throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rob fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rob fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sepulveda manages to avoid it.
A lazy left from Sepulveda finds it's target.
Sepulveda throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A low kick from Sepulveda is predictable there
letting Rob counter with a right hand.
Sepulveda throws a head kick that misses
and Rob counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Rob gets a takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sepulveda is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Rob is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

We've been hearing good reports from Rob's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Rob is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sepulveda is just riding it out for now. Rob eventually gives up the hold.

Rob looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sepulveda with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Rob shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rob was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

We've been informed that Sepulveda has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Sepulveda tries to roll over but Rob keeps him under control.

Ace Rob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sepulveda tries to roll over but Rob keeps him under control.
Sepulveda has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rob is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rob is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sepulveda defends it well.
Sepulveda wants to control but Rob is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Sepulveda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rob gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sepulveda is on top in guard.

I would just about give that final round to Alejandro Sepulveda.
I think Sepulveda has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
