PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake The Dog (ranked 635 p4p, 87 weight class) and Roy Whitaker (ranked 913 p4p, 119 weight class). The Dog comes to the cage accompanied by Meditation Time. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake The Dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roy Whitaker !
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitaker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. The Dog doesn't seem bothered though.

Whitaker gets caught napping as The Dog dives in and scores a takedown. Whitaker manages to retain guard.

Whitaker manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Jake The Dog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The Dog's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
