Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Balthazar Kosowski!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kosowski closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Summers quickly recovers to half guard.
Summers wants to get back to his feet.
Summers is refusing to be controlled, as Kosowski sits in half guard.
Kosowski prevents Summers from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kosowski looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Summers moves into full guard.

Summers has his feet on Kosowski's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Summers stalks Kosowski and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kosowski's face. Kosowski staggers backwards, shaken.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kosowski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Summers avoids it really well and circles away.
Summers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kosowski takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Summers throws a series of strikes that have Kosowski backpedaling.
Kosowski fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kosowski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kosowski lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Summers is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kosowski working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Kosowski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Summers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
