Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Chuck Lee (ranked 23701 p4p, 529 weight class) and Pedro Scherer (ranked 6408 p4p, 485 weight class). Lee comes to the ring accompanied by Titties and Coke "subliminal messages". Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Scherer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Lee throws out a loose jab but Scherer uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've been informed that Scherer has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Chuck Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scherer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Scherer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That kick from Scherer tenderised Lee's leg. Lee is trying to keep his angry face on.

A nice side step and Scherer releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Lee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Lee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Lee fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Scherer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Scherer walks into a big right hand from Lee and goes down! The referee sends Lee to a neutral corner as Scherer gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Lee was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Scherer seems to have recovered his senses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Scherer walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Lee rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Scherer has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.

Lee swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Lee counters with a big right hook, that lands right on the temple! Scherer goes down! Lee rushes to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. This one's going to be close! 3,4,5,6,7... Scherer is up to one knee.... 8,9.... He's up! The referee says he's good to go, so we're back to the action!
