Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nikki Sixx (ranked 1454 p4p, 189 weight class) and Bobby Baccalieri (ranked 1431 p4p, 185 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sixx might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Niykee Heaton. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Nikki Sixx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Baccalieri!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sixx tries to clinch but Baccalieri is having none of it.
Baccalieri ducks under a wild hook from Sixx.
Sixx fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A nice side step and Baccalieri releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Nice defenses there by Sixx.
Sixx keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Baccalieri.
Sixx pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Baccalieri stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Baccalieri lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sixx fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sixx looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sixx looks to land a combination but Baccalieri avoids it well.
Baccalieri waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sixx.
Sixx ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Baccalieri throws a shot to the body.
Sixx fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Baccalieri looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sixx throws a poor cross that misses
letting Baccalieri counter with a right hand.
Nikki Sixx seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sixx loads up on a big right hand but Baccalieri slips the punch.

Bobby Baccalieri is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Baccalieri throws the left hand but Sixx avoids the punch easily.
Sixx pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sixx tries to land a front kick but Baccalieri steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sixx takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Sixx fails to land with a series of punches.
Sixx misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikki Sixx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sixx with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Baccalieri to score with a decent uppercut.
Sixx steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Baccalieri.
Sixx throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Baccalieri avoids the body shot from Sixx.
Sixx throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Baccalieri counters with a nice uppercut.
Baccalieri throws a shot from downtown. Sixx moves away and avoids it.
Sixx throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Sixx throws a hook but Baccalieri avoids it easily.
Sixx avoids the body shot from Baccalieri.
Sixx misses with an uppercut. Baccalieri saw that one coming.
Baccalieri ducks under a wild hook from Sixx.
Baccalieri now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Baccalieri connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Baccalieri fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sixx manages to avoid it.
Baccalieri jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Baccalieri displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sixx.
Baccalieri scores with a hook to the body. Sixx takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Sixx digs a good body shot into Baccalieri's ribs.

Sixx feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sixx accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sixx won't allow Baccalieri to sweep him here.

Baccalieri is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Baccalieri pulls Sixx in close to his closed guard and prevents Sixx from doing any damage or advancing position.
Sixx's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Sixx trying to control but Baccalieri is working from the bottom.
Baccalieri wants to get back to his feet but Sixx is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sixx lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Baccalieri circles away quickly and effectively.
Sixx tries to close the distance and clinch but Baccalieri swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sixx takes a swing at Baccalieri's ribcage but misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sixx pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sixx lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Baccalieri circles away quickly and effectively.
Baccalieri takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Baccalieri getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Baccalieri stuffs the takedown.
Sixx steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Baccalieri.
Baccalieri stuffs the takedown attempt from Sixx. Sixx gets slowly back to his feet.
Sixx throws a lazy uppercut
and Baccalieri counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Baccalieri lands an overhand right.
Baccalieri cracks Sixx with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Baccalieri throws a jab but it's blocked by Sixx.
Sixx steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Baccalieri.
Sixx thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sixx fails with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Baccalieri dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Baccalieri throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sixx throws a leg kick
and Baccalieri counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Sixx tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jab, jab by Baccalieri - just one landing.
Nikki Sixx is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Baccalieri scores with a decent looking hook.
A swing and a miss from Baccalieri.
Sixx misses the jab.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Baccalieri! But no joy.
Sixx fails in his attempt to clinch.
Baccalieri just misses with a punch to the body.
Bobby Baccalieri seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sixx tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Baccalieri was well out of range. Poor timing from Sixx.
Baccalieri's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sixx under the eye.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baccalieri looks to throw the jab but Sixx is out of range.

Sixx is rocked!
Baccalieri has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Sixx walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Baccalieri swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

During a confident post fight interview, Bobby Baccalieri thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
