Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Tochilov!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Griffin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Griffin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Tochilov is trying to maintain the position but Griffin is very close to passing his half guard.

Tochilov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Griffin pulls his head out easily.

Griffin stands up out of the half guard.

Griffin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Tochilov is looking to reverse the position.
Tochilov wants to control but Griffin postures up.
Griffin wants to stand but Tochilov has his arm trapped.
Tochilov is trying to control Griffin's posture but Griffin avoids it.
Tochilov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Griffin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Tochilov manages to get back to half guard.
Tochilov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tochilov.

Tochilov working for a triangle but Griffin defends it easily.

Griffin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tochilov is proving hard to escape from.

Tochilov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Griffin is aware though and is defending well.

Tochilov working for a triangle but Griffin defends it easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Tochilov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Griffin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Griffin stands up and waves to Tochilov to follow him.
Tochilov tries to clinch but Griffin is having none of it.
Max Tochilov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Griffin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tochilov's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tochilov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Griffin defends well.

Griffin wants to stand and escape but instead Tochilov has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Griffin keeping moving, preventing Tochilov from controlling successfully.
Tochilov stands and throws Griffin's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Tochilov has hold of Griffin's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Griffin seems comfortable defending it but Tochilov has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Griffin is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Griffin is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Tochilov couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Max Tochilov!
