Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kole Easton (ranked 24739 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryson Pico (ranked 3928 p4p, 202 weight class). Pico comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lowkey - G-Eazy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kole Easton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bryson Pico!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pico fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Easton, pushing him back against the cage.

Pico breaks from the clinch.
Pico shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Easton defends it nicely.
Easton half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Easton looking to score a takedown here. Pico is defending well but Easton drives through and ends up in Pico's guard.
Pico pulls Easton in close to prevent any damage.
Easton trying to control the position from guard on top but Pico is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Easton is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pico is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Pico manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Easton manages to get himself to full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Easton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pico's guard.

Pico has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Easton tries to free his leg and advance position but Pico is retaining full guard.
Easton has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Pico is pulling down on Easton's head to control his posture.
Easton throwing strikes but missing.
Pico wants to sweep here but Easton controlling him for the moment.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Pico working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Easton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Easton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pico wants to sweep but no luck.

Pico has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pico tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Easton would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pico working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Easton's head.

Pico connects with a couple of short punches.

Pico is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Easton is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Easton has escaped and now he's on top!

Pico is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
My spies in Star Studded Beef inform me that Pico has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Pico is working Easton over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Pico chips away with some ground and pound.
Pico stands up over Easton, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Easton has momentary wrist control but Pico slips an elbow through the middle.
Pico wants to control from the top but Easton keeps moving.
Pico has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Pico cracks Easton with a solid left hand.
Bryson Pico has got the better of the ground game so far.

Pico drops back, looking for a kneebar! Easton looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Easton looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Easton!

Pico manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Easton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pico looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Easton is defending against the submission attempts here by Pico.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Pico is working for a kimura but Easton is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bryson Pico showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Pico feints and as Easton raises his hands in defense, Pico changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Easton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Pico with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Pico manages to work his way to half guard, despite Easton's best efforts.

Easton wants to stand but Pico has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Easton won't allow Pico to sweep him here.
Pico has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pico has control of Easton's left arm, preventing Easton from doing any damage.
Easton looking to sit in guard and control but Pico gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pico is working Easton over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Pico is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Easton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pico on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Easton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pico is aware though and is defending well.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pico's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Easton is trying to control the position but Pico postures up.
Pico stands up over Easton, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Pico gets to his feet - Easton follows without any prompting.

Pico shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pico showed some decent athleticism there.


Easton is rocked!

Pico looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kole Easton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bryson Pico is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Easton on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Easton tries to get out of the position.
