The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidovich tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Demust was well out of range. Poor timing from Leonidovich.
The crowd cheers as Leonidovich lands an impressive looking overhand right. Demust doesn't seem phased though.
Leonidovich sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Demust walks into a stiff left hand from Leonidovich.

Demust moves into the clinch successfully.
Leonidovich swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Demust tries to pull guard but Leonidovich holds him up against the cage and eventually Demust drops back down to his feet.
Leonidovich lands a nice shot to the body.

Demust gets a trip takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leonidovich is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Leonidovich is trying to control but Demust manages to pass to mount!
Demust with a couple of short strikes.
Leonidovich really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Demust. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Demust controlling the position easily from mount.
Leonidovich is working to get back to half guard.
Demust postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Leonidovich looks a forlorn figure.
Demust breaks from Leonidovich's wrist control and lands an elbow.
