PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Warner Dean (ranked 7119 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lodeye Little (ranked 4646 p4p, 402 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Warner Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lodeye Little!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean swings away with a body shot that misses
and Little counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Dean takes a swing at Little's ribcage but misses.
And Little tries to counter it with a takedown but Dean pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Dean gets caught napping as Little dives in and scores a takedown. Dean manages to retain guard.

Dean has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Little makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Little.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dean makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Little has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dean can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dean postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Dean got a little sloppy there for a moment and Little has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dean has managed to get both his arms back between Little's legs - danger averted.

Dean is looking for a sweep. Little is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dean is refusing to be controlled, as Little sits in half guard.
Dean is trying to maintain the position but Little is very close to passing his half guard.

Warner Dean has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lodeye Little is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Little has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
